Hello and welcome to Speech Empowerment Solutions!

I’m Lisa Miodowski, a speech-language pathologist and the proud owner of Speech Empowerment Solutions. I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Michigan University and have had the privilege of working across various clinical settings, assessing and treating individuals of all ages.

Through these experiences, I discovered my true passion is helping adults with acquired neurological disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, rediscover their voice and rehabilitate their swallow. I am certified in two leading Parkinson’s therapy programs, Speak Out!® and LSVT LOUD®. Each treatment plan is individualized to meet the unique needs and goals of the client. My mission is to provide personalized, functional therapy in the comfort of each client’s home, where treatment can be most meaningful and effective.

In addition to speech therapy, I am passionate about the role of movement and exercise in supporting brain health and managing neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson’s disease and dementia. I am a certified personal trainer, and I coach Parkinson-specific exercise classes through a local non-profit organization. I also enjoy teaching kickboxing classes at a local studio in Troy, MI.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me traveling, hiking, biking, or sharing a great meal with my husband - whether dining out or cooking at home.

LOCATIONS SERVICED

We are located in Rochester Hills, MI and provide in-home speech pathology services to the Metro Detroit area. 

PAYMENTS ACCEPTED

We accept traditional Medicare and private pay, as we are out of network with other insurers. Please call for our private pay rates.

Private pay clients may request a superbill to submit to their insurance for possible reimbursement.
